Performance

Traction and control

Whether it has the standard 206-hp 2.4L 4-cylinder or the 3.5L V6 under the hood, the 2017 Acura TLX is a high-performance sport sedan. Standard features like Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) gives drivers a new level of control and a leg up on other all-wheel steer options, and Acura’s exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) is available on V6 models to keep a solid grip on the road.

    Precision All-Wheel Steer

Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) is standard on each 2017 TLX, and it’s the first system of its kind that is able to individually adjust rear toe angles individually for improved cornering and maneuverability.

    Gear Selector

The 2017 TLX is all about choices, and that includes the transmission. The standard model features an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with torque converter, while the V6 is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission with smooth gear shifts.

    3.5L V6 Engine Option

If your sport sedan needs more than 206 hp, Acura has you covered with this available engine. The 3.5L V6 kicks out 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque, with front-wheel drive models earning an EPA-estimated 34 highway mpg (TLX SH-AWD models are rated at an EPA-estimated 31 highway mpg).**

  • 2017 Acura TLX Driving Modes

    Integrated Dynamics System

Switch from everyday driving to a full throttle sport driving experience with the push of a button. The Integrated Dynamics System is standard and lets you choose between Econ, Normal, Sport, and Sport+ modes, depending on your mood.

    Super Handling All-Wheel Drive

Available on TLX V6 models, Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) makes it easy to conquer the pavement and the weather, distributing power to where it’s needed, when it’s needed. That includes shifting torque to the outside rear wheel to launch through corners with speed and grace.

    Tire Fill Assist

Improperly inflated tires mean unpredictable performance, but the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) can detect under-pressurized tires, alert you, and then signal when you’ve filled the tire up with enough air. TPMS indicates which of your tires need filling so you’ll only be off the road for a few minutes to fill up.

Exterior

Energetic aerodynamics

The 2017 Acura TLX exterior has spent countless hours being designed, redesigned, and honed into its current model, and rest assured that while it looks great and is sure to turn heads, every curve has a purpose. Features like Acura’s signature Jewel Eye LED headlights are sculpted into the body while high-tech safety like the standard rearview camera is incorporated into the design to be virtually unnoticeable.

    Jewel Eye LED Headlights

Five LEDs straddle either side of the grille in these Acura-exclusive headlights. They earn their name from the jewel-like look the reflectors generate by reflecting the LEDs when on or reflecting sunlight during the day.

  • 2016 Acura TLX Rearview Camera

    Multi-View Rear Camera

This standard safety feature engages automatically when you shift your 2017 TLX into reverse, projecting to the dash a view of what’s behind you before backing up. Three different views make it easy to back up with peace of mind.

    Keyless Access System

More than just smart looks, the 2017 TLX is a smart car. When your key fob is nearby, this sedan knows, and you can just walk to the door and open it without ever digging for your keys.

Interior

Stylish and serene

It’s the job of Acura engineers to build the best engines they can, but it’s the job of the designers to ensure the 2017 Acura TLX interior feels welcoming. Standard heated front seating ensures comfort even during the winter while available front-seat ventilation brings comfort throughout the Kentucky summers. Features like Milano leather take the class up a notch or two, and the advanced technology features keep you connected behind the wheel.

    Front Seats

A standard 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and sport seat designs make it easy to get comfortable behind the wheel. Unlike other sport sedans, heated front seating comes standard, with ventilated seats available on the Advance Package.

  • 2017 Acura TLX Cabin Storage

    Cabin Storage

From the console to the glove box, the cabin has plenty of space for essentials like sunglasses and driving gloves. Each TLX also includes a 12V outlet to keep your gadgets charges as well as a USB input for streaming and charging a smartphone or MP3 player.

  • 2017 Acura TLX Active Sound Control

    Active Sound Control

When we say the 2017 TLX is built with your serenity in mind, Active Sound Control is a prime example. This feature detects mechanical noise and emits sound waves in opposing frequencies to cancel them out and leave you in peace on your drive. Acoustic glass and special engine mounts help reduce overall mechanical noise, too.

  • 2017 Acura TLX On Demand Multi-Use Display

    On Demand Multi-Use Display

If the TLX had a button for every tech feature, it would have a cluttered, messy dash. Instead, the ODMD is a touchscreen interface that configures the buttons and media controls you need when you need them. Manage all vehicle settings and tech needs in one convenient place.

  • 2017 Acura TLX Siri Eyes Free

    Siri Eyes Free

Acura has engineered the 2017 TLX to communicate with your iPhone via the Siri Eyes Free system, keeping you connected to SMS texts and e-mails. Send messages and use familiar iPhone apps with Siri Eyes Free without ever taking your hands off the wheel.

    Rear Seating

As a midsize sport sedan, the TLX comfortably sits three passengers in the rear. When you need to make room for the golf bags or snow skis, the 60/40-split folding rear seat expands the trunk for improved carrying capacity.

Safety

Safety first. Always.

It might seem like the TLX is built for style, performance, and comfort first, but the 2017 Acura TLX safety features were top priority. In addition to standards like airbags and seat belts, the TLX has a wide range of passenger protection and AcuraWatch Plus accident avoidance features meant to keep you and your passengers safe.

  • 2017 Acura TLX Vehicle Stability Assist

    Vehicle Stability Assist

Standard on the 2017 TLX, this safety feature monitors traction and adjusts engine performance if it senses a wheel slipping on the pavement. This feature only takes over until you’re on firm ground again, helping to keep you stable.

  • 2017 Acura TLX Lane Keeping Assist

    Lane Keeping Assist

This AcuraWatch safety feature can sense when the TLX is drifting from its lane. After issuing a warning, Lane Keeping Assist can give the wheel a nudge to keep you centered in your lane.

    Collision Mitigation Braking System

The highlight of the AcuraWatch Plus package, Collision Mitigation Braking uses the same radar sensors as Adaptive Cruise Control to sense when an accident might happen. If it detects a potential accident and the driver doesn’t respond in time, this safety feature can automatically apply the brakes to slow or stop the vehicle.

  • 2017 Acura TLX Blind Spot Information

    Blind Spot Information System

This safety feature serves as a second set of eyes, monitoring the blind spots of the TLX with radar. If a vehicle is in one of the blind spot alert zones, an indicator lights up on both the in-dash display and the windshield pillar on the side corresponding to the blind spot being blocked.
