Thrilling inside and out

2015 TLX

Acura has designed performance cars with passion and purpose for years, giving Kentucky drivers vehicles ready for the country and the city. The new 2015 Acura TLX is Acura’s answer to the sport sedan, replacing two outgoing models and with the style and versatility to take on their competitors with ease.

Built for the track or the street

The TLX is defined by its performance, and whether you drive the standard four-cylinder or available V6 engine, you’re going to have a sedan that delivers thrills behind the wheel. The V6 model even has Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) available for added control on all kinds of surfaces, with Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) bringing high levels of handling on every model. Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters let you control the gear changes with the convenience of a manual transmission, too.

  • 2015 Acura TLX 2.4L Engine

    2.4L Four-Cylinder Engine

Standard on the TLX, this powertrain is anything but a basic engine. This 2.4L four-cylinder is equipped with direct fuel injection technology to kick out 206 hp and leap from the line with as much as 182 lb-ft of torque. The lightweight aluminum design helps improve overall handling for the vehicle and accounts for some of its remarkable fuel efficiency: 2015 TLX 8-Spd DCT models earn as much as an EPA-estimated 35 highway and 24 city mpg.*

  • 2016 Acura V6 Engine

    3.5L V6 Engine

The 2.4L four-cylinder will be enough for some drivers, but we know that many want the option for more power. This exceptional V6 engine upgrades the power output to an astounding 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque and also gives you the option for Acura’s SH-AWD. No matter which drive mode you choose, the power is paired with a fuel economy that allows for plenty of guilt-free driving: TLX FWD V6 models earn an EPA-estimated 34 highway mpg and TLX SH-AWD V6 models have an EPA-estimated 31 highway mpg.*

  • TLX-AllWheelSteer

    Precision All-Wheel Steer

Whether you drive the four-cylinder or V6 TLX, you’ll enjoy the benefits of Precision All-Wheel Steer. P-AWS is the first all-wheel steer system with separately adjusting toe angles for the rear wheels, and by combining efforts with the TLX’s Vehicle Stability Assist system, it improves control, stability, and maneuverability.

  • 2015 TLX Agile Handling

    Agile Handling Assist

It might take hours on the track to learn how to corner like a pro, but the TLX’s Agile Handling Assist system can help you along. It uses the Vehicle Stability Assist safety feature to help improve handling via active braking. Agile Handling Assist can apply the brakes on an inside wheel during a tight turn to let you come out of that curve like you have years of experience behind the wheel of a sport sedan.

  • 2015 TLX Performance Braking

    Performance Braking

A high-performance car like the TLX requires high-performance braking – even if you may not want to slow down too much when you’re in the driver’s seat. Precision brake modulation helps the TLX come to a fast stop when needed, and ventilated front disc brakes combine with solid rear discs to help deliver some of the most responsive braking available.

  • 2015 TLX Quiet Ride

    Smooth and Quiet

The only sound most drivers want to hear when they’re behind the wheel of a vehicle like the TLX is the roar of the engine, and Acura engineers have worked hard to make that all that you do hear. The suspension, brakes, body structure, and transmission, nearly every element of the TLX, is built for minimal noise to give you peace and quiet.

An energetic and aerodynamic build

What kind of a sport sedan would the TLX be if it didn’t look great as it was zipping down the street? Acura tested their new sport sedan in the extremes of weather, ensuring it could endure anything mother nature could throw at it, and its aerodynamic wind tunnel tests ensured that not only will it cut through the air like a hot knife through butter, it will look good doing it.

  • 2015 TLX jewel eye headlights

    Jewel Eye LED Headlights

The TLX front end is unmistakably Acura thanks to the exclusive Jewel Eye LED headlights. With 10 LEDs split between them, the headlights are able to offer a whiter and brighter illumination. And when they aren’t on, the reflectors give the vehicle an extra sparkle that earns them the “Jewel Eye” name.

  • 2015 TLX MultiView Camera

    Multi-angle Rearview Camera

A miniature camera on the rear of the TLX gives you a look at what’s behind you before backing up. In fact, it gives you three looks. Three different views are available, broadcast right to your in-dash display screen so that you know you are backing up or parking without worry of objects or cars behind you.

  • TLX-Keyless Access

    Keyless Access System

The 2015 Acura TLX is a smart sedan. It’s got smart looks, and it’s designed to know when you’re coming. Technology in the key fob lets you unlock and open the door and even start the car without ever taking your keys from your pocket or purse. The TLX can even adjust music settings, climate control, and seat position when you approach.

Serenity and style in one

The TLX cabin is engineered for comfort, giving you a haven away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and preparing you for long drives through the Kentucky countryside. Amenities like acoustically damped glass and Active Sound Control help isolate you from road noise while other features, like the available ELS sound system, take the class up to new levels.

  • 2015 Acura TLX Front Seating

    Front Seating

If you’re the kind of driver who wants to embrace the “sport” in “sport sedan,” the TLX is ready for you. Front seats feature pronounced side bolsters that deliver support laterally while offering the familiarity of a favorite recliner or office chair. Heating elements and available ventilation ensure that you’ll be comfortable in the leather-wrapped seats.

  • 2015 Acura TLX Rear Seating

    Rear Seating

While the TLX is a sport sedan with track DNA infusing every bit of it, Acura knows that this mid-size car is going to be a family car for many drivers too. The rear seat has plenty of room for three full-size adults, which means the kids should have more than enough space to themselves. If you need to expand the trunk for large cargo, part or all of the 60/40 split-folding seats can fold down, too.

  • 2015 Acura TLX Audio System

    ELS Premium Audio

Grammy award-winning engineer Elliot Scheiner helped design the TLX’s available ELS Premium Audio system with the goal of reproducing the studio experience behind the wheel. This 10-speaker system features four tweeters, four mid-range speakers, a center mid-range speaker, and a subwoofer to enhance radio, CD, or streaming audio.

  • 2015 Acura TLX Dashboard

The TLX dashboard features its controls within easy reach of the driver, borrowing from the practicality of many race cars that put all the essentials within arm’s reach. Futuristic shapes and high-tech amenities integrate seamlessly for a dashboard that looks truly elegant.

  • 2015 Acura TLX ODMD

    On-Demand Multi-Use Display (ODMD)

There are only two real ways to give drivers control over all of their high-tech gear: lots of cluttered buttons or an intuitive touchscreen. Acura went with the touchscreen in their On-Demand Multi-Use Display (ODMD). Controls change based on what’s needed at the time, cutting the number of button down from dozens to just a handful while offering the same level of control.

  • 2015 Acura TLX Siri Eyes Free

    SMS/Email/Siri Eyes Free

We all want to stay connected to our friends and family, but it is unsafe and often illegal to text and drive – and for good reason. The TLX lets you stay connected by integrating your phone into the driving experience and sending emails and SMS texts right to the display screen. It is even compatible with Siri Eyes Free for enhanced iPhone control.

Built safe from the ground up

Cars designed for sporty handling and high speeds need to make safety as much a priority as horsepower and torque, and the 2015 Acura TLX features enhanced standard safety features and available accident prevention amenities that help keep you safe behind the wheel. AcuraWatch accident prevention technologies and an Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure all help to ensure you and your TLX come out of a collision safely (or avoid it entirely).

  • 2015 TLX lane assist

    Lane Keeping Assist

Lane Keeping Assist is the backseat driver that you will actually appreciate. With a forward-facing camera, it keeps an eye on the road ahead and notices if the lane markings start to shift, indicating that you’re drifting. If it senses a drift and notices you haven’t signaled a lane change, it issues a warning to bring your attention back to the road.

  • 2015 TLX cruise control

    Adaptive Cruise Control

Since it was invented, drivers have loved cruise control, and TLX models with AcuraWatch Plus features take cruise control to the next level. Adaptive Cruise Control monitors the speed of the vehicles around you, adjusting your speed to keep pace and let you enjoy the drive.

  • 2015 TLX blind spot

    Blind Spot Information System

The TLX’s Blind Spot Information System uses radar technology to scan the blind spots – its “alert zones” – and let you know whether there’s a vehicle there. The front pillar on either side of your TLX will light up when a car is in the alert zone if equipped with the system. If you signal to merge when there’s a vehicle in the alert zone, the light flashes and you receive an audible warning to remind you.

  • Kentucky Acura Dealers

    Child Safety

The TLX is a sporty sedan, but that just means it will attract a certain kind of family driver as well. Acura engineers equipped the seats with LATCH-compliant child seat anchors, letting you easily secure your daughter or son in their safety seat until they get old enough to wear a seat belt properly.

  • 2015 TLX Collision Mitigation

    Collision Mitigation Braking

The available Collision Mitigation Braking System uses a radar sensor on the front of the TLX to detect how close you are to another vehicle. If it senses a collision is likely, it can automatically apply the brakes to slow or even stop your vehicle before it collides with another.

  • 2015 TLX road departure warning

    Road Departure Mitigation

The available Road Departure Mitigation system has a front camera that monitors objects and markers on the side of the road. If it detects you are about to cross a lane line and possibly drift from the road, it sends a warning to your dash (and the heads-up display) and tightens the seat belt to get your attention before nudging the wheel to put the car back on course.
